Background
I was born in Bogota, Colombia, and the flow of the expat life brought me to grow up in a number of countries all over the world. This flow provided the invaluable experience of viewing the world through a variety of perspectives from a very early age. I spent a large part of my childhood in Atlanta, USA, before the twists and turns of life led my family to shorter stays in Istanbul, Turkey, Mexico City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Most of my adolescence was spent in Curitiba, Brazil where I really began to set the groundwork for next.
I then returned to Atlanta, where I attained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. I was active in student organizations such as the Georgia Tech Soccer team, The GT Business Organization and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, where I held various officer positions. It was fascinating to discover how the concept of flow, had its place on the soccer field, on the job, in the classroom and in positions of leadership.
I have work experience in the consumer products and consulting industries where I have focused on the integration between Projects, Operations and Sales. I found that aligning metrics and bottom line expectations to create a "flow" between traditionally siloed divisions was the key to creating holistic value leveraging technology only when required to overcome obstacles. I did Management/IT consulting at Capgemini and now work at Victoria's Secret as a Manager handling the on-going Operations and Product Launches for VS Beauty Products.
My interests are varied: I read widely on topics such as business and economics, management methodologies, psychology, philosophy, history, language and personal development.
I currently live in New York City and you can reach me via email at frankie@taylors-oc.com.
